CLIMATE CHANGE

PRAYERS FOR THE WATERS.
FIRST NATIONS WOMEN & TWO-SPIRIT TO THE FRONT.

It is becoming increasingly common knowledge that one of the greatest solutions to Climate Change is Indigenous sovereignty and restoring the ancestral and traditional land cares of their local cultures.

We have seen the destruction of forests and our precious natural waterways. We have seen forest fires ravage the West Coast and terrorize communities in the Rogue Valley and beyond. We have seen the effects of disconnecting Indigenous communities from the land and the toll it takes not only on the ecosystem. We have also seen the toll it takes on Indigenous community and their equal access to clean water, clean air and basic rights.

Indigenous peoples’ wisdom and traditional understanding of natural resource management is key to ensuring resilience in the face of immense pressures in Rogue Valley.

Our intention is to uplift this wisdom and pass it back into the hands of Indigenous community for ongoing stewardship.

we are building courage sustainably. we circle and remember our ancestors.

we honor the acorn, oak, salmon and call them in for the next seven generations and beyond.
